Student Assessment and Evaluation administers a comprehensive assessment program which provides reliable and accurate data about student performance in mathematics and literacy. The Program of Learning Assessment for Nova Scotia (PLANS) is responsible for the administration of international, national, and provincial assessments and examinations. Student Assessment and Evaluation develops, administers, scores, and reports on English and French provincial assessments and examinations. Note: Administration dates for grade 6 assessments have been adjusted due to September 2022 weather-related recovery efforts as follows: Nova Scotia Assessment: Reading, Writing, and Mathematics/Mathématiques in Grade 6 (RWM6): Tuesday, October 11 to Thursday, October 27; Évaluation de la Nouvelle-Écosse : Lecture et écriture en 6e année (LE6 - CSAP): Monday, October 24 to Wednesday, November 2.
Nova Scotia’s Open Data portal is now available. The portal provides access to more than 130 government data collections, including provincial assessment results, and is available to individuals, researchers, and entrepreneurs.
